Scientist whose work formed the base for a Nobel prize… working at a car dealer.

I’m going to try to avoid editorializing this one too much, because it could be interpreted many ways, but I will say I am glad that, when I left academia, I seem to have found a job that still lets me act science-y.  I hope my future a few years from now doesn’t turn out like this guy’s…

(yes, I know the article is a bit old – but it is certainly relevant to the topic of this blog, and I haven’t seen it before)

 

UPDATE: Today I found out that the scientist in question (Douglas Prascher) is  currently employed and doing science – hat tip to bolgrot from Reddit.
